JOIN Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for Spectrum of Care: How to Navigate LGBTQIA2S+ Cancer Services, happening Saturday, Nov. 8, in the Research Studies Center at Roswell Park, Elm and Carlton Streets, Buffalo, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Spectrum of Care is designed to provide the LGBTQIA2S+ community, caregivers and healthcare professionals critical information and resources to better navigate services across the cancer care continuum — from screening and diagnosis to survivorship.
Spectrum of Care will feature talks from experts, panel discussions with LGBTQIA2S+ patients and providers, and real-world guidance on how to access inclusive, affirming cancer care. Topics will include strategies for early detection, navigating treatment options, understanding survivorship resources, and advocating for culturally competent care.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive onsite lung cancer screening through Roswell Park’s Early Detection Driven to You (EDDY) mobile unit — an important step toward proactive health for anyone at high risk of lung cancer (more information at roswellpark.org/eddy).
The talks are free and open to the public. Screenings are covered by insurance for those who qualify.
Whether you’re a survivor, caregiver, advocate or just someone seeking more knowledge, this symposium is a safe space to learn, connect and take charge of your health.
