The Buffalo-Niagara LGBTQ Chat Rooms brings the community together for free without the stress of major social media platforms. Located on a Discord server, hundreds of WNY LGBTQ+ people have met up at board game events, hiking trails, video game nights, theatre productions and picnics.
Bringing the community together has never been more important. Many seeking refuge in New York state have found friends in our chat rooms the moment they have arrived!
There’s a main chat room for everyone to join in together, but there’s also additional rooms specifically for gay, lesbian, trans*, queer, intersex, ace, agender, pansexual, genderfluid, Black/Indigenous/People of Color, neurodiverse, bear and leather communities.
We also have resources where our community members address gender dysphoria, mental health recommendations, homelessness and other services targeting the most need for our community. There’s sections to share your photo, write a biography and tell people your own interests.
Looking for forums? There’s categories such as art, theatre, music, drag fans, food and cooking recipes, books and articles, workout routines, movies, board games, gardening, activism, photography, spirituality and more.
Buffalo-Niagara LGBTQ Chat Rooms joined the BN Proud Alliance because our community deserves places to come together and celebrate our experiences. The success of BN Proud is our shared success. Our hope is to offer a virtual space that people can call home.
