OUTspoken For Equality is an organization that advocates, lobbies, protests and rallies for LGBTQ+ rights, protections and justice.
OUTspoken was directly responsible for getting Buffalo Republican State Senator Mark Grisanti to allow us to educate him as to why he should vote yes to Marriage Equality and securing his affirmative vote that we all needed in order for Marriage Equality to be passed in New York.
In light of the barrage of attacks against minority rights by the current administration, we all need to reactivate and re-energize our organizations/groups, find fellow minority organizations/groups, get new people and band together to take action. We have joined numerous committees and are guiding people who contact us to the right organization/group that meets the need they reached out for assistance.
Our goal is to regain the connections lost after marriage equality passed and we all went on to live our best lives.
Many of us failed to remember that history always repeats.
Equal rights and equal protection under the law.
Nothing more, and sure as hell nothing less.
