Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus

Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus (BGMC), a group for tenors and basses who want to sing for social justice, and our new yet to be named chorus for sopranos and altos who want to sing for social justice.

LGBTQ+ pride is foundational to our institution and continues to be a cornerstone for all decisions we make. We strive to be the voice of pride in Buffalo and Western New York, bringing our message of inclusion and hope to those who need to hear it. We all have the same mission, even though we realize it in very different ways. Buffalo Niagara Pride Alliance gives us the opportunity to find when there is intersectionality between our groups and the events we have, so that we can have the biggest impact within the community. I am thrilled this alliance is happening!

The BGMC has been around for almost 25 years and is experiencing a period of growth. We can use our marketing to help promote the Alliance, and we can literally lend our voices to cause when needed, by singing! The power of music is so strong – it heightens the meaning of the words we sing – it is such a privilege and honor to share the stage with these singers who send their message to our audiences from the depths of their souls.

We connect, we heal, we grow.
